150 Stand, Canopy, and Refugium PROJECT COMPLETE

This is a fairly complete set of pics from my recent project for DIY for a 150 gallon stand and canopy. This is made to fit 72 x 18 tank which could include a 125, 135, and I beleive they make a tall 180 that is also 72 x 18
The refugium is 40 inchs long 16 wide and 18 tall with a 12 inch running water line should be enough for a 150 tank I have ordered the doors to be made as I do not have the proper bits or jigs for them.
Totals
Stand and canopy with doors 450.00
Refugium 130.00 for acrylics

Here are some updated pics of the stand and canopy completed and stained

Very nice woodwork! Do you plan to attach your lights to the top of the canopy? If so, won't you get a bit blinded every time you open the canopy to feed, etc?

Nice job! I am building a canopy right now and have one question for you. Did you use plywood or solid wood for the walls of the canopy?

Did you make the canopy from plans or rough it as you went? I am making a stand/canopy and really want the piano hinge style but am unsure how to brace/make it

any tips would be appriciated

thanks

Do you have any more detailed pics of the canopy while under construction? I would like to see them to use as refrence when i get to that.

thanks
