130 watts enough?

ok so I have never really put as much effort into building my own setup(first tank was a nanocube) But after being almost painfully dissapointed with the nanocube setup, I have decided to put together my own setup. So yeah, I ordered a 130 watt pc fixture for my 10 gallon and I was wondering if 130 watts is enough to keep lps. I was told I could keep lps in my nano cube with its 48 watts of pc but that was not true(everything died) so I am hoping that with a shallower tank and with more than double the wattage, I can finally keep a frogspawn at least.
 
Yes you can. Just watch that the tank doesn't get too hot.
 
IMHO lighting wouldn't be your problem with an anemone or Tridacnid clam in a 10 gallon... Water quality and stability issues would... (This is not a slam against your husbandry skills, I know you're a caring meticilious aquarist, just that those critters really need more stability than a 10 gallon can give)

Lighting wise, Paris, Nemo and their living houses are in a 20 long under 110 watts of PC lighting, and doing just fine...

(I was gonna put a current pic of Paris here, but then decided it'd be "teasing" since you were wanting an anemone, and I just told ya' I wouldn't recommend you getting one, and that'd be mean for me to then post a picture of one, but then I decided what the heck, you'd prolly like to see how Paris and his dominatrix are doing, so..... :wink: )

I think i'll just invest in a larger frogspawn colony instead of the anemone. I just remember Paris being much happier when I had that frogspawn frag in my nanocube and I want the new clowns to be happy as well when I get them.(BTW in case you don't know I am going down to houston in mid january and getting a pair of onyx clowns from karen)

I am so weird because the only reason I am setting up this tank is because I've always wanted a set of those clowns but the lowest I ever saw them for was 175 per fish and karen is selling them for 100 a pair. I just can't pass it up.
