[Take a look at the latest brood from my Bangaii pair! A record 13 taken from the main tank so far. Biggest in the past has been 8.

There is a piece of caulerpa (imagine that!) in with them so you can see how little they are.

Back to BBS hatching for me.

[Maybe you can train them to eat your caulerpa!! A new strain. :D jk

Very nice shot though. I love seeing babies!]

[Do you pull them from the tank? I have a pair of Cardinals myself, and am wondering what I'll do when they get 'busy'. :)]

Do you pull them from the tank? said:
I pulled the first and second batches from the tank. 4 of 6 survived from the first batch. None from 5 survived from the second batch. I think the second batch came too soon after the first to be viable.

Then, I tried leaving the next two in the tank (mainly due to the fact that I no longer had any fish that would eat them except the parents). I found it hard to feed them and none of the next two batches survived.

It had been two months since he had carried any for this last batch, so that's why I think there are more...he let himself rest a little between broods. So hopefully more of these little ones will make it. I pulled all of them from the tank and put them in a 10-gallon grow-out tank that I have. It used to be my refugium but now runs on it's own with a sandbed, razor caulerpa, some small live rock pieces and a Remora skimmer.]
