120g plumbed! (pics added)

Chris and I finished the plumbing on our new 120!!! It's currently running w/ fresh water and has no leaks. Our first test drive was Sunday night, unfortunately there was a leak between the overflow and the aquarium. The leak has been fixed and everything is running smoothly. Pictures to come tomorrow.

Excellent. Looking forward to the pictures.

As promised, please find the goods attached. :)

It looks like those are for the closed loop, as I can see a black overflow in the center of the back wall.

Marc is correct. The holes drilled in the bottom are for a closed loop powered by a panworld 50px-x (1100gph). Our RO/DI system is on its way, so we should be adding water and LR next week. I will keep you guys updated w/ the progress!

Your more brave than I am because holes in the bottom make me nervous

Looks like a nice setup though... Good job!

It looks good....but I do have one suggestion and that is more unions. said:
We're struggling hard to keep our tank free of unions. They demand shorter working hours, benefits, etc ... :)

Seriously, I'll post a pic of the bottom of the tank later for you plumbing geeks.

I know, I don't like bottom-drill tanks either. Scary! Do you have ball valves to close off both of those bulkheads when you need to remove and clean the Panworld?

I'm not sure if you are interested, but if you want to hide the Closed loop, you could use a Tunze Deco rock. THe benefits of this is not only will this provide you with not seeing any unnatural looking plumming, but the rocks make an amazing base for aquascaping. they are exceptionally study and can really support a wicked rock structure.

Oh yes. Ball valves abound - 6 in total. 4 holes in tank means 4 ball valves, and one more from the sump, and one final one to regulate flow to the refugium side.
