1000 dollar clam

The REALLY scary part is that, with a maximum size for Tridacna gigas of 4 feet, that thing is UNDER half grown!

Thought about Serk, then thought about the copper issues over the weekend, then had this fantasy about how color coordinated this clam would look with the cheerleading section for his tank with their red cups! Buy the clam Steve and post more pics of the hot girls!

I got a perfect spot for that clam in the 1000gal tank! Free shiping + 14 day guarantee, I couldn't pass that up. It's much cheaper than the 36" clam. I'm sure we can get it to go from 19 to 36 in no time :) It should be in the 1000gal by Saturday..

Well, congrats!!!!!!!!

I will most definately have to come see it :!:

Dude, post pics will ya?...im really curious on how it's shiped :!:

Congrats! Can't wait to see that one!

So... Did they waive their normal 14-day arrive alive/stay alive guarantee on it? :)

Brian, on something this expensive, they would probably ask for the carcuss to be returned as proof of death. But I will say one thing for them, they really do stand behind what they sell. Opus, (Doug)and myself have bought a few thousand from them together, and have had only a couple deaths of small fish, but they always replaced or gave credit toward next order. Ive bought a lot of corals out of their Divers Den section, and always been more than happy. I have 2 big clams that I bought from them, the shipping weight on one was 36 pounds for a 4 1/2 inch clam. They really do pack well. And if anyone needs an extra styrofoam cooler for cold beer by the pool, or coral transport , Ive got a few.

Congrats, Vincent. It will be great for us all to visit a $1000 clam from time to time. :)
