OK how exactly do you dip a clam?

OK i pick up a clam at a lfs. IT is a 5in maxima, i also own 3 other Croceas. When i bought him he didnt look the best but i thought i was because there was sea weed around him but i am not so sure thats why he wasnt opened up all the way. Is there any reason that he would be half open.

Is 2 # 4 korallias, a # 3 and two maxi jet 900s too much flow for a 55 gallon? It is a BB with 70 lbs of live rock with mostly sps, some lps, and three clams. I run a cpr skimmer and two 250 watt 14k hamilton single ended bulbs.

Has anyone had there clams close up for a day or two?

OK i don't know what it is but i was looking in my tank and i spot a moving purple thing. At first i thought it was a sea slug but wasn't sure. It is purple with two antennas that are white on the tips with a fluffy looking thing. Please help!?!?!?!
