Welcome! Where do you office out of? My wife and I have used a few fish vets over the years but as you know they are very hard to come by. Last I checked in October, there were only 2 in the state of Texas. Would love to have your information incase we need one in the future.

I don’t know much about this species. However, do you think that maybe they have reached sexual maturity and maybe they are both males and fighting due to that? I know sometimes other fish that I’ve kept have gotten a little grumpier as they got older and out of that juvenile stage.

I’m sorry to hear that. Hang in there. We all go thru something like this at some point in the hobby. - not sure what area you are in, but yes, most fish stores carry aminos / coral nutrition products. They might have some expert level advice to help you as well.

I’m sorry to hear this. I’d maybe work on bringing that alk level down too. 12 seems pretty high. That with the rapid salinity dip might have been enough to push them over the edge. Like mentioned above a series of water changes spaced out should help bring the water parameters back in line...

Looks like a diatom bloom to me. Is it a new tank? Pretty common for new tanks to go through that stage. Sometimes referred to as the “ugly stage”. Usually goes away on its own after a few weeks. I’ve heard copepods eat it if you want to look into going that route. I think some inverts do too.

Not sure. Do they look like open wounds / ulcers. If you haven’t already I’d also reach out on the Humblefish forums. Might find better fish health answers there.

There was a vendor at the Texas Coral Fest event in January that had one. Not 100% positive but I think it was Reef Works or Jolts Reef. I know Raising Reefs has them along with other really nice high end acros, but he was much higher at that show, but it was also a bigger piece. I’ve seen them...

“Decent price” haha. 😂 Those are crazy expensive! I think the cheapest I’ve seen is around $350 all the way up to $1,000 for a tiny little frag.
